Cyclothon – Cycle Rally on 3rd June 2025

Worldwide 5th June is celebrated as World Environment Day and considering the same Vapi Industries Association (VIA) is celebrating World Environment Drive during the entire 1st week of June 2025 by celebrating various events and programs for the safe keeping of the Environment and create Environment Awareness. As part of this World Environment Drive, a Cycle Rally – Cyclothon was arranged at 7:30 am on 3rd June 2025, Tuesday jointly with Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), Notified Area Authority (NAA), Vapi, Police Department and Vapi Green Enviro Ltd. (VGEL) to create Awareness about Environment particularly on the theme of this World Environment Day – Beat Plastic Pollution by reducing usage of Plastic and ensuring safe disposal. Several Industries Employees and Workers from different Industries as well as the enthusiastic cyclists of Vapi took part in the Cyclothon. Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA during his address welcomed and also thanked all the dignitaries and Industries Employees & Workers for taking part in the Cyclothon, he then gave brief of the Route of this Cyclothon and the purpose of this Cyclothon – to create Environment Awareness. Thereafter the Cyclothon started by flagging off the rally by the dignitaries. The Cyclothon was held in the presence of Shri Satishbhai Patel, President, VIA, Shri Maganbhai Savalia, Vice President, VIA, Shri Kalpeshbhai Vora, Hon. Secretary, VIA, Shri Rajulbhai Shah, Treasurer, VIA, Shri Kamleshbhai Patel, Immd. Past President, VIA, Shri Indravardhan Patel, Dy. Environment Engineer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri Mahesh Kothari, Chief Officer, NAA, Vapi, Shri Vatsal R Patel, Dy. Engineer, NAA, Vapi, Shri Viral Choudhary – Asst. Environment Engineer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri Vipul Prajapati – Asst. Environment Engineer, GPCB, Vapi, Shri Jatin Mehta, CEO, VGEL and the Staff Members of GPCB, Vapi, NAA, Vapi.
